.2.5 Fan gate
Fan-shaped gate is a gradually expanded gate, which is a variant of side gate, and used to form large-width plate-shaped plastic parts. The gate gradually widens along the feed direction, and the thickness is gradually reduced to the thinnest. The plastic melt is uniformly distributed in the width direction, which can reduce the internal stress of the plastic part and reduce the warping deformation; the cavity has a good exhaust gas and avoids surrounding air. However, gate removal is difficult and the marks are obvious.
2.2.6 Flat seam gate
Also known as sheet gate, it is also a variant of side gate, which is often used to form large area flat plastic parts. The distribution channel of the gate is parallel to the side of the cavity, called parallel channel, and its length can be greater than or equal to the width of the plastic part. The plastic melt is firstly distributed uniformly in the parallel flow channels, and then flows in parallel at a lower linear speed, and enters the cavity uniformly. Therefore, the internal stress of the plastic part is small, and the warping deformation caused by the orientation is reduced, and the cavity Good exhaust. However, the gate removal workload is large and the marks are obvious.
2.2.7 Disc gate
Disc gates are used for cylindrical plastic parts with larger inner holes or plastic parts with larger square inner holes. The gate is on the entire periphery of the inner hole. The plastic melt enters the cavity at approximately the same speed from the periphery of the inner hole, the plastic part will not produce welding marks, the core is uniformly stressed, and the air is removed sequentially. For our products, disc gate applications are rare.
