The Manufacturing Processes for Plastic Products Sep 27, 2019
The manufacturing process of a plastic article refers to a process of making a final plastic article from a polymer manufactured by a synthetic resin manufacturer. Processing methods include: compression molding, extrusion molding, injection molding, blow molding etc. Detailed manufacturing process:

(1) Compression  Molding: Molding is also called press molding. It is mainly used for the molding of thermosetting plastics such as phenolic resin, urea-formaldehyde resin and unsaturated polyester resin.

(2) Extrusion molding: A method of continuously extruding a heated resin through a mold into an article of a desired shape using an extruder.

(3) Injection molding: It is a method of injecting a thermoplastic melt into a mold under high pressure by using an injection molding machine to obtain a product by cooling and solidifying. Injection molding can also be used for forming thermosetting plastics and foamed plastics.

(4) Blow molding: A way in which a hot resin parison closed in a mold is inflated into a hollow product by the pressure of compressed air, and the blow molding includes two methods of blown film and blown hollow article. Film production, various bottles, barrels, pots and children's toys can be produced by blow molding.
