In the injection mold industry, the design of the structure for plastic products is very important, but if the temperature of the injection mold is not reasonable, no quality products will be produced, especially in the production of POM (polyoxymethylene), PA (nylon). When do PBT and PET (polyester) material, the mold temperature has a great influence on the plastic part. After reasonable temperature control, many problems can be avoided during production.
When the mold temperature is unreasonable, it will cause the following effects:
1) When the mold temperature is low, usually it will cause a poor appearance of the product, and the plastic parts will deformed at the high temperature.When the surface temperature of the mold is low, the shrinkage of the injection molded product becomes large.
2) The shrinkage of the mold and the shrinkage of the injection molded part are related to the temperature of the mold and the wall thickness of the product.
3) Uneven distribution of the surface area of the mold will cause an increase in the injection molding cycle, resulting in reduced injection molding efficiency and increased cost of injection molding products.
How to avoid these situations:
1) Consider controlling the mold temperature during the design phase of the mold
2) Do a good job of cooling the mold.
3) When the mold with high injection precision, the mold temperature should be set to a higher, and when the injection molding is not so precision, the mold temperature should be set to a lower.
