We are going to talk about one of the most common problem during mould trial--short shot.
The factor are as below:
1. It means that the cavity is not completely filled, caused the plastic parts incomplete;
2. The mold venting is not good;
3. The section of gate and runner is too small and long, The melt pressure loses too much during the flow;
4. The thin wall is not thick enough;
5. There is no cold well or the design of cold well is not so good, the melt enters the mold cavity and condenses quickly, making the melt flow not smooth;
6. Injection speed is too slow;
7. The injection machine is not suitable;
8. When the nozzle hole is too small, the injection speed of melt decreases;
9. The non-return valve failed and caused the melt to flow reverse
10.The nozzle is blocked, caused the flow of melt is not free
11.The raw material contents too much water content, this aggravates the burden of venting system;
12.Too much recycle material was added in the raw material, which affected the fluidity of the melt;
13.Too many impurities in the raw material, easy to block the runner or nozzle.
