Mold surface treatment technology is a systematic engineering that changes the morphology, chemical composition, organizational structure and stress state of the mold surface through surface coating, surface modification or composite treatment technology, so as to obtain the required surface properties.From the way of surface treatment, it can be divided into: chemical method, physical method, physical chemical method and mechanical method.Although new treatment technologies are emerging to improve the surface properties of molds, nitriding, carburizing and hardening film deposition are the main applications in mold manufacturing.
Nitriding process of gas nitriding liquid nitriding and ion nitriding way, each way of nitriding has several kinds of nitriding technology, can adapt to the requirement of different steel grade artifacts because of nitriding technology can form the surface of the excellent properties, and nitriding process with steel quenching process has the good coordination, nitriding temperature is low, at the same time without fierce cooling after nitriding, the mould deformation, therefore the mold surface strengthening is earlier by nitriding technology, is also the most widely used.
