Insert Molding Development Considerations Dec 27, 2019
INSERT MOLDING is a type of mold in plastic mold, commonly known as insert mold. There are some differences between this type of mold and ordinary plastic molds in the selection of plastic materials, mold design and development testing, which are described in detail below.

Inserts in INSERT MOLDING molds are usually stamping parts or threaded inserts. Before injection mold clamping, they must maintain a fixed position in the mold, and after the injection mold is completed, they are finally firmly combined with the plastic part. It is a non-mechanical connection. This type of F product generally appears as a structural part in product development, and the product requires high strength.
When choosing plastic materials, glass fiber (GF) -containing materials are usually used. Generally, there are PC + GF and PA + GF, and the content of GF is generally between 10% and 50%.
